I cannot connect to any couterstrike server. An error message comes up and says "Error! Server verification failed". I have read multiple websites that say the same thing. I have done everything execpt make sure port 27012 is blocked because I cannot figure my router settings out. I have a D-link DI-704P. One possible solution I may have found is the Special Applications settings, this is the provided help text:
Some applications require multiple connections, like Internet games, Video conferencing, Internet telephony and so on. Due to the firewall function, these applications can not work with pure NAT router. Special Applications makes some of these applications to work with NAT router. The settings are:

Trigger: the outbound port number issued by the application.
Incoming ports: when the trigger packet is detected, the inbound packets to the specified port numbers are allowed to pass through the firewall.
This product provides some predefined settings. Select your application and click Copy to to add the predefined setting to your list. If the mechanism of Special Applications fails to make an application to work, try DMZ host instead.

NOTE: At any time, only one PC can use each Special Application.

In the settings section, there is a popular applications bar where I can choose from Battle.net, dialpad, ICU II, MSN gaming zone, P-to-Phone, and Quick Time 4. Any suggestions?

If u read www.counter-strike.net forums u would see that many CS players have this problem from time to time. Its supposedly WON server error which usually lasts from an hour to a couple of days. So if u just started getting this error message dont worry, and just wait till the WON server is back up so u can once again enjoy the killing.
