I have this wild idea. Why don't we ask Blizzard and EA to cooperate together to develop a realistic RTS game. Since the world is 'so happy' with the Second Gulf War, we can create an RTS game that has Iraq and the Coalition forces fighting each other on the desert of Iraq.
In order to make the game more entertaining, we can add some allied forces for each opposing side. The Coalition forces consist of the US and Britain but they will receive limited assistance from Australia, Spain and Portugal. On Iraq, it will receive limited assistance from all the terrorist groups.
The Coalition will possess Tomahawk Storm while Iraq will possess Apocalypse. The former will consist of fifty Tomahawk missiles bombing their designated target. The latter will consist of ten biological-based missiles attacking the Coalition troops.

I just remembered. We'll forsake all the futuristic weapons and concentrate on our current weapons. That will make the RTS game more realistic. We'll add in a few CNN-based news clips in the game to make it like the players are commanding their troops to battle. Graphics wise! Up to the developers!

I'd rather have another expansion pack for Ghost Recon.
Wat? FPS? Man! U are missing the whole game. We can become the real-life commanders during the war. We can even be 'inside' the war.

I tot most of you like to eradicate Iraq? We can vent our frustration on the game because we're not there fighting. You know! There are a lot of 'warmongers' here so this game is gonna be a hit.

I think it is a good idea. But I would rather have it be FPS. Easier to "vent our frustration" on a character that looks real, and whose head explodes realistically, rather than little dudes running around a map.

Like the Idea (like RTS) but Apocalypase for the attack name sounds to me like it would get to be a anoying name after while. IMO

I'd buy it.
Not bad, man! This game will make big bucks if it is made into a 100% realistic RTS game.

the mods are based on todays conflicts like Somilia, Irag, ect.
I have heard that some are even based on star wars.

100% real is **** near impossible we don't even know everything that is going on. I think it also depends on what happens people are saying this war will be over in about a week it would be a short game if it was.

Yeah! Who returned BF 1942? I don't think EA will be stupid enough to develop a game that is refundable. The company will learn from Blizzard and develop the next generation RTS game. Believe me! It will do it! With C&C under its control, EA is set to conquer the RTS market in the near future.
One more thing, all the staff personnel that are gonna be retrenched in Westwood Studios can go to Blizzard instead. Because the latter's staff used to be Westwood Studios staff. Maybe they can work something out and challenge EA in the RTS market. Then we'll have a show to watch.
Showdown between EA and Blizzard!!

For most of us I wouldn't say we are sick but such a game would be something we have seen in Reality. C&C or World war 2 games or UT are all great but it would be cool to play something that I have just watched really take place. If a game like this was released I'd buy it for exactly that reason.

Will this game comes out when the war ends? Wow! Just imagine a lot of people from around the world can be linked up to play together. We can even add the Allies and the Axis Powers in the game. With so many countries and different armies, this game will be a hit.
Maybe the Allies and the Axis Powers will be inside an add-on, the Gulf War (RTS) will feature Iraq and the Coalition. Plus, some neutral states and terrorist groups.

IMHO, the media here in the US is inherently against the military and usually takes FULL advantage of military screw-ups. It was huge news back in 1993, on every Cover of every Major News paper and Magazine here in the US.
It was a New York Times best selling Book and one of the BEST made movies I have ever seen! IF you ever have the chance to see the movie—you will love it no matter what side you are on.
Also- Media Criticism/Coverage is directly related to the political party in power at the time.

Lack of Cooperation of local UN forces
Lack of backing by Clinton, he did not ALLOW the armored vehicles needed to provide adequate protection and fire power. Our Troops should never have gone and I blame the administration of the time for the deaths?
What happened after the US forces withdrew from Somalia? What happened to the African country? Anyway, Gulf War (RTS) will be a hit if it really comes out.
