I actually have never heard of the Desert Storm Mod unless that is the Desert Combat mod you are referring to. If so, I have to agree with you, that is an awesome mod. I like all the new weapons and armor. Plus having F16's and Apaches and the like are incredible. Don't even get me started on that damned A10!! ;)

It looks like v.3 is going to be awesome also. Precision guided missles, jump planes, new helicopters, and so on. I can't wait!

Desert Combat is definitly the best in my mind. The models look amazing...everything works and its super fun. And its still not officially out. But I recomend everyone d/l Killer Commando...

I was just reading a write up about that mod and it looks pretty dang funny. They billed it as the anti mod. The description in and of itself is funny.

"Dragons that shoot fire and drop explosive turds"

"Zeppelins that throw rocks"

"Monster trucks with nitro thrusters to launch them in the air to counter the dragons"

"Vin Deisel health guage"

Sounds zany, but fun! I'll be downloading it tonight! :D

Another mod I have read good things about is the GI Joe mod. If anyone tries that out before me, let me know if it's good. :)

yeah i played the world war 1 mod you just meantioned......it was totally wack!!!

Ah dang so the GI Joe mod is cheesy. Oh well, thanks for the heads up on that. I won't waste my time with it. :)

I hate to even say this but I have yet to get the Road to Rome. I really need to pick that up! Also, EA announced that they're working on the next expansion for BF1942 right now. Woot!

.....and there is a new official EA map out called project Aberdeen. I just downloaded it but haven't had a chance to play it. I am sure it kicks **** though.

Well if you're a GameSpy's Fileplanet subscriber, it comes out today (April 2nd) but for the rest of us....I am afraid we will need to wait until April 5th.
