Anyone really good with this? I have no problem figuring out the C addresses. But the A and B class are kind of a pain in the ****. Could anyone help?


Here are my problems.

Defualt subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

What I need to figure out:

Custom subnet mask:
Total number of subnets: (2^N)
Number of usable subnets: (2^N - 2)
Total number of host addresses: (2^H)
Number of usable addresses: (2^H - 2)
Number of bits borrowed:
I need to show the range at the bottom.

Hehe. Thanks man! Lucky enough my teacher gave us an extra day and helped us a bit. I understand it now! Thanks though, I can use that to check my work. :D

if you really understand how to subneting
I think you should get full mark.
Or maybe you jsut have some calculate mistakes.........:D
