My school, Chaska, just won 1st place in the state science olympiad competition. We get to go to Columbus, Ohio for the National competition.

For this Saturday's competition I built a free-flight airplane that took off and flew for 51 seconds and a remote-control robot that picked up stuff and dropped it in a box.

I'm happy you won, more happy that a school has programs like that. We need to emphasize science and math more than sports, but the sports get the glory and the money, sad but true, a bunch of stupid jocks. What's this country coming to???

I'll get some of the airplane when my friend develops them. :)

leprechaun_40 - I know what you're saying. More people at my school are aware of the one time that our football team won than the three academic teams that are going to nationals.

Giblet I wouldn't worry about it, because its difficult to make it big in sports those same people will be working for you someday and thats your payback.

Sports has its place, if anything to inspire people to excersize or to be of sound mind and body. One of my friends is a nerdy as they come but also works out in the gym.

Good luck in the competition.:)

Eight more seconds and you'd match the Wright brothers record!
