My MS Intellieye Explorer mouse came with an USB to PS/2 adapter.
Until now I always sued it on the USB port and I'm just wondering what the advantages/disadvantages are of plugging it into the PS/2 port....
So USB or PS/2 what is better? ...and faster ;-)

The advantage to switching to the PS/2 port is that it will free up a USB port (this is very helpful to people who have only 1 or 2 USB ports on their PC). I really do not think you are going to see any performance difference by using the PS/2 port instead of USB; I didn't. Hope this helps. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

If you use it USB, you get IRQ 12 back (the IRQ used by the PS/2 mouse port).
If you use it PS/2, it'll work in DOS and safe mode of 95/98. You can also use it with NT 4 (which doesn't do USB)
