Dear sirs,

I use Abit BE6-2 rev 1.1 with the latest bios 70.

And i wonder if anyone here now if my motherboard is compatible with ATI 9500 Pro grafic card ?

One frend to me have tha same motherboard as me, and use INNO3D Geforce 4200Ti 64mb and that works fine, but i are interested to have DirectX 9 compatibily with my new grafic card that i plan to buy, (my old Voodoo 5 5500 AGP dont works with some new games).

Please help me.

Best regards,

PoolCaT

The BE6 doesn't support AGP 4x or 8x. It should still work though.

Not very well... you're talking about squeezing everything through AGP at 2x on a card optimally designed for 8x. The 9500 may be a good investment if you plan on upgrading your system, and I guess even stuck at 2x it's going to blow you away compared to anything you've had so far. But if that's the case, why not just wait for the Radeon 9800/9600/9200 series cards?

The 9500 is not without scalability, though. Mind voiding your warranty? If not, I have a very cool link for you.

Actually, the way their site is structured, this link will become obsolete and show the wrong news page after time because they renumber everything with the latest being "1". Grr. Instead, just go to http://www.ocworkbench.com/ and search for "Hacking your Radeon 9500 and become a Radeon 9700" exactly (without the quotes). It'll come right up.

Here's the original Russian site they copied that from:

Just outta curiosity, what kind of CPU / mem have you got in that thing? Are you using a slotket with a socket 370 coppermine CPU?
