Hi everyone, a good friend of mine is the webmaster for a computer store in the Seattle area and he just finished a major overhaul of the site. He'd like some feedback on how it looks, loads, lays out, and all that good stuff, so if you want to take a look at www.compusaveinc.net and then post your comments here I'll pass the thread on to him. Thanks!
P.S. We know the store's prices aren't that great so you can skip mentioning that :D He has no say in it, he just posts what he's told.

Site looked good. Loaded fast(even with Cable). Very professional design. One note though, the icons for the catalog on the upper left side are rather small, users with high res settings probably won't be able to make them out. Overall nice job!:t :D Don.

IMO it's a little cluttered. i think he should move the side bars farther from the central content. everything else seems good.

Loads fast, nice clean look. Just what you want in a website.
Might consider making the font just a tad bigger.
other than that its 2 thumbs up.

Loads well and looks good. Lot's of info and good graphics. Very busy but that's what I look for when I'm researching products and prices online. Well done.

doesn't load that well for me, but then thats probably due to me been in the UK - I can't buy off him anyway ;)
I would lower the amount of colours personally, but thats just preference. Font Size is fine for me.

Compusave Wholesale to the public!
And the prices aren't good? What's up with that?
the resellers and RMA Dept tabs no workey.
The main problem I have with the site is there really is no product listing, or searching. What if i want to buy a keyboard or a SCSI cable? I can't figure out where they are?

looks oK if you want a site that loox like anything else... but then I guess that's that aim of e-Commerce, uniformity for the user... lots and lots of white space on the r-hand side... about 25% of the browser window...

It is easy to navigate, and you can look up the full specifications for components such as motherboards.
You don't want to create a work of art with a functional site of this kind, you just want to make the information as easy as possible to see and to navigate when greater depth of information is required
The site does that well.
Which software package was used to create it?

Eric, I passed on your question to the webby, here's his response:
"Eric, no software package really. The site is written in and runs on Cold Fusion. Most coding was done manually."

Thanks for the reply.
I don't know much about ColdFusion, but it might make search engine ranking impossible in the same way as with sites created using Macromedia's Flash.
