I'm trying to save money on my power bill and I was wondering how much power my computer really eats up. It has a 300W PS and I leave it on 24/7. Most of the time its idle. I was wondering if it constatly draws 300 Watts or is it up to 300? If it is up to, then how do I know how much it eats up?

It is UP TO 300w,it's hard to say how much you are using without an ammeter. If you want it on 24/7 turn off your monitor to save power. And see here: http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum2/HTML/015048.html

Go into Control Panel, Display, Screensaver, Settings: set monitor to power off after (say) 30 minutes; ditto on HDs. Got to save power AND wear & tear on your components as well. Don't use the screensaver.
