I'm using norton internet security and i blocked some ports when i was setting it up.
I keep getting outbound tcp alerts from this local port Backdoor-g-1 trying to connect on port 80. I have Scaned with the latest antivirus norton and used a few trojan clearers.
I have checked the web and it says the that trojan connects on port 5000 and i have that blocked. Also it trys to connect to differt addresses each time.
So is there some reason that ie is useing port 5000 or do i have a trojan that isnt being found?

Hi go to this site and download the program called the cleaner. Give it a try. It will look for all sort of those nasty little infestations. The link is to the right page just scrool down a little.

If you have a trojan this one sould find it. It will aslo tell you what it is.

Try using this online file scanner:
http://www.avx.com/scan.html

AVX can identify and clean a wide variety of known trojan, worms, and viruses; directly from your browser interface.

Good Luck,
