I have one stick of PC2700 DDR 512MB memory currently on my mobo. I have a stick of PC2100 DDR 256MB sitting on my desk. I have 3 DDR slots on my mobo. Can you run both on my mobo?

ASUS P4S8X mobo
Pentium P4 2.4 GHz
nVidia geforce 4 MX440-se

Viking's web page said all DDR was backward compatible, I don't see why not! Of course they will both run at the lower speed.

Yes you can do it. Like Billforce said the fast stuff will run like the slower (so don't go overboard and bust that ram out from you dos computer) but from what i've seen 2100 isn't something to shake a stick at.
