yea ok i got a intel d850gb mobo (yea intel blah) it has 4x capabilites on it( ok u follow me so far) its paired with a ti4800 gainward 750 xp 8x. now heres were the problem lies my card is transfering its memory at the same when pci mode is enabled and 1x and 2x and 4x all way below what it should be transfering it at (roughly around 800 mbs/sec). So to make sure its not the card i stick it in my old 550 k6 and its running at full speed do u know what settings i might not have enabled fast writes on sidebands on and a 32 bit pipeline depth. this has been buggin me for quite a while now i had thought my factory geforce 2 mx was **** so i bought the new card then when i got the new card i put the card in the 550 and it had like this awesome number too my benchmarks dont seem to be that bad 1582 in 2003 and 8357 in 2001 b4 all these new drivers. any thoughts on this would be appreciated

There is NO problem with the Drivers NOR the video card
the Bench Mark is for Direct X 9.0 which the GF 4 DOES NOT HAVE
so reason why your scores are soooooooo far off
between the old 3D Mark vs the new 3D Mark

here take a look at this explanation http://www.rage3d.com/reviews/Other/3dmark03/

you can always Adjust your BIOS, if you believe the AGP is not setup right

All Agp transfers are slow! Even 8x compared to the vid mem. Any agp use at all is slower than when run within the card. In real life games thats kept to a min. Wont even notice it. Only benches will show. If thats your worry then I understand but for games 0 prob.:)

ok... thats sorta reasureing since i am benchin higher then most with better or similar video cards with my processor speed. i just found it weird that using the same program on my older machine yeilded such a different result in speed
