Just put the old RAM in there and you should be fine. Just don't slam them around http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif 'Goon NDC 05-18-2001, 07:59 PM I just wrap them in paper and NEVER have I in my life ruined memory modules while transporting them even from country to country! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif JacobM5727 05-18-2001, 08:14 PM thanks guys JacobM5727 05-18-2001, 08:14 PM you can mix ram brands right? i pretty sure you can [This message has been edited by JacobM5727 (edited 05-18-2001).] madfish 05-18-2001, 08:19 PM I was told that just plain ol plastic zip-lock baggies are static proof, is this true?? I always save my old static bags to store my extra ram and cards in.. cheers JacobM5727 05-18-2001, 08:22 PM if they are i would use one alondra 05-19-2001, 12:07 AM wouldn't use plastic any thing, plastic can generate static. just paper is fine, good idea to ground yourself before picking up any thing. or touching anything inside, Kuasimodem 05-19-2001, 07:02 AM I'm with Alondra on this one, don't use plain plastic bags, they do generate static. I save all my old static-proof bags when I get parts, they don't take up much space in my file cabinet, and they save parts during transport. Heck, I still have the bags that my motherboards came in.
