Hey people,

I was originally going to go with a linksys wireless network b/c of some recommendations from here and my own positive experience with them.

However, in this week's Best Buy flyer the D-Link AP+Router (DI-614+) is $69.99 and the D-Link PCI cards (DWL-520+) are $49.99. Which is somewhat cheaper than the linksys system I had priced around.

The setup is for sharing a cable connection in a small one story house b/t a couple mates. Mostly everyone justs surfs. I'm the only one who plays games.

Whats your opinion of D-Link? Should I go with this or spend the extra on linksys?

Thanks :t

Get what's on sale - just don't mix brands.

For what it's worth, D-Link makes MS's wireless stuff for them. I saw a 4-port wireless router and USB NIC from MS at Sam's Club for about $100 w/rebate.

Thanks BBill for the quick reply. I had heard the same about DLink and MS, but didn't know if that was a blessing or a curse

I'll prob go out and get the DLink setup from BestBuy. I never figured Sam's Club sold stuff like that. I'll have to make the rounds when I have the time. :)

Ive been using Dlink for years and have found them to be excellent - just as good as anyone else - more reliable in terms of performance and lifetime than most.
