Just wondering if you can use any other dvd rom with this decoder card or does it have to be a creative labs card???

Should be able to use it with other brand drives. The Dxr3 is basically a Hollywood+ decoder card, and that works with most all DVD drives.

I'm with jmorrell on this one, as I know of people actually using the standard Hollywood+ drivers with their Dxr3 cards. Assuming this, then the card should work perfectly fine with any DVD drive.
