When I attempt to run Disk Defragmenter, the program launches, I select Drive C and begin the process. Between 5% and 10% complete, the message Drive has changed, restarting... is displayed. This process continues unless I stop it. I am running TrendMicro's PC-Cillin, and 2Wire Home Portal networking. I have shut down both these programs as I have heard they can interfere with Disk Defragmenter. I went into Task Manager and also closed some apps that were shown to be running associated with the antivirus. Any more ideas on how to get the Disk Defragmenter to fully complete its task. Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

I had to physically remove the telephone wire from the 2Wire USB connection to the computer. Disk Defragmenter then worked just as it should. Thanks for the help.
