Start up program..trying to lose it!

In win Me I have a start up program that tries to load automatically except the program is not there anylonger. This attempt screws things up and I con't figure we the instruction is to load this..it's not in "Start Up" in windows.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

how was it uninstalled originally?

Have you "unticked" it in msconfig?

Start - Run - Msconfig - Startup

Untick anything that refers to the program.

Restart.

Also, as a P.O.I., I have found that it is a good idea before uninstalling a program to check in Msconfig to see if there are any "unticked" references to the program. If there are, "retick" them, reboot, and then uninstall the program otherwise the references in Msconfig may not be removed.

If there is a uninstall program directlly associated with the program use that before using the Windows Add/Remove Programs option.
