Urgent : I have damaged several cd´s

Hi

I need your help.

Problem : I am trying to make an audio Cd from my Mp3 or wave files but
the burning process stops after one minute ( more or less).
Nero crashes and I can´t eject the damage cd-r.
I have reduced the speed recording but the problem is the same.


I am using :

Nero 5.5.10.7 ( Enterprise Edition )
+
Win XP
+
Plextor 8/4/32A



Is ther any known problem with my configuration ?
I have used Nero Express and no problem.

Nero and Nero Express is the SAME thing just different Skin look :)

is it a USB recorder or IDE or SCSI?

either ways

set it to SIMULATE first
and set it to AUTODETECT Speed

it should work with that

How old is the burner? Do you smoke cigarettes/cigars/pot around it? Is the area the computer relatively clean and dust free. I went through the same problem once and was able to fix it by cleaning the lens on the burner. Apparently my being a chain smoking slob didn't agree with the burner.

This may sound off, but did you write something on the CDR before you began burning? You know, like "Potlicker Mixes", "aReA 51b mIxEs"....but what I really want to know is if you used a ball point pen to write it? Discs are fragile on the *top*, and one should never write on it unless with a felt marker or something soft...

ed: oh yeah, try a different brand cdr. Maybe you just got back discs.
