Umm... It would help if you tell us which IBM model you have. Guessing IBM since you state IBM, but which one?

If you're just getting beeps, you need to take it to a shop. Memory alone isn't going to fix this. Your hard drive may be shot and the CPU may have been cooked.

We need the Aptiva model number at least.

ibm is awesome with keeping everything for their old systems. all you need is to find your machine type (go to http://www.pc.ibm.com/qtechinfo/MIGR-49QTT6.html for how to find this) and go to http://www-1.ibm.com/support/all_download_drivers.html (for drivers, etc) or http://www-1.ibm.com/support/search/pcsearch.html (for other things)

browse around on the site, there's a wealth of resources; i was able to download the entire manual for my old PC330-P75 (machine type 6576-35F (they're all in that format))
