I know this question has benn asked a zillion times but I can`t find the thread....I`m buildind a fresh unit and when I start it up all I get is a series of beeps and then nothing. The beeps are 1,3,3,1 all short. I think this is either memory or video( nothing comes up on the screen) and I know someone posted the codes before but I didn`t save it. Please refresh my memory.
I`m running a simple PII 233
al440lx mobo
64 mb pc100
PCI SIIG video card
Nothing else, really.....just leftover parts. Thanks, Gary

Here's is what ur code is "Autosize DRAM (usually indicates bad or incompatible memory)"

Here's where i found it http://home.earthlink.net/~billselk/al440lx/al440lxfaq.html

Or maybe the ram just isn't well seated? Worth a double check.

check to make sure the processor is seated all the way...Or, try another video card. I had similar beeps and it was the video card.
The other possability is that maybe your LX chipset doesnt like the PC100 memory (it happens.
What kinda BIOS do you have?

Gee...maybe this could be the problem. I have PC66 not PC100. Well, I did say it was leftovers. Time for new memory. Thanks, Gary
