no cursor in 1280x1024

my mouse pointer dissappears in 1280x 1024 res. Anything lower it works just fine, but in 12x10 it's gone. It still works and all, just can't see where it is. It occasioanlly shows up as a very very fine line...maybe 1 or 2 pixels in height. Hallam

What vidcard are you using? Anything else (any other program) give you difficulty at that high a resolution? How much memory do you have devoted to video? What operating system are you using? What monitor? Everything can be seen fine EXCEPT your cursor?

Try a larger cursor? Though that may be an silly suggestion. Provide a bit more info about your system. Maybe someone here can give an answer.

Creative labs 3d blaster 32MB DDR, Geforce 2 GTS chipset. 1GHz t-bird, MSI mobo, 256MB Crucial pc133, win98 SE, NEC multisinc monitor, max resolution of, 12x16 maybe? I've had this sytesm for a few days less than two months, and never had this problem, yes everything else works fine. I was playing with 3DMark 2001, at the time of cursor loss. this may be my cause. It's still gone even when not running the program, but i don't know enought about it to know if it could cause something like this. It's not really that big of a deal, I'm planning a clean-up format this summer, within the next 2 months somthing, that shoudl clear it up regardless of the cause. for now I set it to 1280x960 and resized the monitor setting a little, looks the same to me. the first thing i thought of was a virus, so after running like 10 different virii progs, i figured it was that 3dmark thing. everything else is fine EXCEPT i did notice one thing, i rebooted about 3 times to try and clean any setting that might have caused it. when i got the the desktop, i noticed a little bitty line of giberish and mangled colors at the very bottom of the screen. The colors shifted and changed at the progams continued to load, after the system was "done" the line went away. i've never seen this before, it was just barley noticable, and i wouldn't have seen it if it wern't for the fact the the colors were changing.
