I got a movie and it is DVL file, i did download the nimo 5.0 final codec, it play's but the picture is all messed up. Where can i get my hands on the stuff i need to make it work

When you say you got a movie, did you buy this movie on DVD or download it?

bought it ripped it to my computer and then i play it on my TV through S-video becuse i dont have a DVD player.
