Hi,
I have my monitor on Xp running at 100hz (supported) and am also using the programme reforce to keep it at 100 hz when I start games etc, but on some games the screen is'nt positioned correctly running at 100hz.
Why is this?
Its very irritating because I don't want to go back to 60 hz etc
Just hope one of you guys can shed some light on these display problems...
ps in games options do nothing either

There is NOTHING wrong, it's all NORMAL!
just the games uses 800x600 or 640x480 or etc x etc
and your Monitor has trouble with them
most GOOOOOD monitor will adjust on its own
but not so good ones REQUIRES MANUAL settings
if you are lucky it gets SAVED in the Monitor memory
If you have a crappy monitor, then, good luck,
you'll need to adjust it every time :p

That's because Windows cedes control of refresh rate to the games themselves. You can force it to stay at 100Hz depending on your video card. What do you have?

If you have a Nvidia card the new drivers have a panel setting where you can force the game into a certain refresh rate. Has worked great for me so far.:)

I have a g4 ti4200,
I,ve sorted it now, thanks "allgamer"
It never occured to me that adjusting the monitor in different games etc would be memorized, but yeah it worked thankfully, I was under the impression that if I adjusted the monitor settings within a game, it would either mess up my desktop settings or I would have to keep doing it everytime I start the game.
Thank fully, either the monitor or the computer remembers the settings for each programme
thanks alot guys..
