Hi all, this is an interesting one. I want to record a computer voice saying stuff into wav files. I tried downloading WillowTalk and typing in the text and then clicking play in WillowTalk and record in Sound Recorder at the same time. Didn't work. I don't want to use my microphone because it's really crappy. Any suggestions?
My old creative software (for Win 3.11) that came with my 2X cd & s/card had a computer voice where you could select a few different voices and it would read text. It was very small (as most s/ware was for early win) Maybe someone still has the floppy - maybe a check at creative labs - it started with Dr Subas....? sorry it was so long ago.
I would have thought what you tried with the play & record would have worked but things dont always work out.
OmniPage pro 10 has a voice that reads your txt or word documents to you after you scan (instead of 'save as file' you just select 'read'). I had a demo version for a while off a pc mag cd, that may help (if you can get hold of a demo that is). I have not tried willowtalk, maybe another type of s/ware will work with your recorder at the same time.
Not really the info you require, just some other options.

I have no problem finding software to speak the text. I just need something that will put it in a wav file.

I saw the DVD for $8 the other day.
I was >< this close to buying it but;
1. Alot of those movies that I thought were great 10 or so years ago, arent so spectacular now.
I bought New Jack City for 10 dollars a couple months ago and it seems kinda cheap now. (or the fact that Ice T couldnt act his way out of a wet paper bag)
..wait....before I turn this into a 80's movie thread....
Yeah The movie is pretty cool http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
But better when I was younger
Nice find golfcart! That program is going into my collection.
I'm also using analog x proxy as well. It's a great freeware proxy!
