S.D.Willie 05-15-2001, 06:00 AM do you mean you get 2 copies at the same time??? or you get a copy later on. i was going to say if in your preferences you have checked off "leave messages on pop server" then you would always get a duplicate message if you check your mail through hotmail, and then express, outlook, etc. but if thats not the case you might want to go set up mail filters in express. good luck SD Maginno 05-15-2001, 07:41 AM I know exactly what you are talking about. The same thing happens to me. However, it only seems to happen now and then... But I have never figured it out and have just learned to deal with it since I use the inbox protector option. But any help would be appreciated on this. jmatt 05-16-2001, 04:12 AM I use Letterbox ( freeware ) from , http://freewarehome.com/Internet/E-Mail/E-mail_Notification_t.html Auto delete rules can be added , view emails on the server & delete unwanted , then open up the the email client . Any that I miss or not sure of , right clicking on the senders email address , brings up block sender . Set your message filter to only accept email that has your correct name/addy in the 'TO:' line. You will be surprised at how much email comes to you without your name or addy, in the 'TO' line. You can set it to delete, or set it to automatically go into a folder, in your Inbox, so you can check it. dbnoll03 05-17-2001, 04:06 PM I have had this problem too! But it only happened when I checked my Hotmail account with Outlook Express. Problem solved with Outlook 2002, which can check Hotmail accounts, unlike Outlook 2000. Hawk35 05-18-2001, 12:46 AM I have seen this happen before. it is usually caused by 1 of 2 issues: 1) 2 accounts set up in the client checking the same account, one of the setups states to leave messages on server. 2) a rule set to forward mail to another account that you are also checking. Check these out and let us know what's up. Hawk SysOpt.com
