BipolarBill 03-06-2003, 02:28 AM You have to enable port-forwarding for the application (MSMSGS.EXE) in the router config. http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/~rakerman/port-table.html BryanM 03-07-2003, 07:02 PM for example AIM, Ext.Port are both 5190 and the IP is 192.168.1.1? And should i have my advanced firewall on, and what is UPnP FORWARDING BipolarBill 03-07-2003, 07:45 PM You have to configure the firewall the same way, but you need to forward the port to the PC you're on - i.e. 192.168.1.100. BryanM 03-07-2003, 07:52 PM and the ext ports are right 5190? BipolarBill 03-07-2003, 08:05 PM Sure. -=US=-ALPHA 04-05-2003, 12:18 AM ello ok my ? is about the same os is win xp pro im on a linksys befsr41 i have no trouble with getting on the net with either of my pc's that are connected i can sen files out to others just not the other pc connected to the router what do i need to solve this omendata 04-05-2003, 01:31 AM Via email or sharing? If its sharing you need ports 135-139 enabled for the destination pc only - never enable them for internet users. 139 is the file sharing port. SysOpt.com
