I have an ECS K7VTA3 ver 1.0 motherboard running a 1.33 Tbird 266 fsb and 2100 memory. Everything is fine, but I would like to upgrade my processor. I have been to the ECS website and asked them 4 times with no reply. Does anyone out there know how high I can go without changing out the motherboard? Thanks

Consult the CPU compatibility tables on that very website ... didn't even take a minute to see Durons Yes, T-Birds Yes, Athlon XP No.

Thanks. I feel pretty stupid because I spent a lot of time on that web site and didn't see that the Athlon+ wasn't supported at all. The guys at the local parts store had been telling me a 2400+ would drop right in. I guess I'll part with a few bucks and get a 2800+ combo. Will the perfomance be much less with the 2100 memory?

You cannot usually run the RAM at a slower clock than the CPU. So with PC2100 RAM, you should stick with CPUs that also run a 133 MHz bus.
