I'm working on an old IBM Personal Computer 350 133mhz but the bios is in japanese. Need help locating the web to have it in english. Can't find the mobo number but I list down the chipsets and some IC:

Intel PCIset SB82371SB

注 意 ： 目 前 因 為 driver 的 限 制 ， 不 支 援 Windows 9X 及 Windows ME.
安 裝 順 序 : 將 檔 案 解 壓 縮 後 會 有 兩 個 目 錄 及 說 明 檔

解 答： 在 BIOS 版 本 1004 之 前 會 發 生 此 情 況 . 請 更 新 BIOS 到 1006 即 可 解 決 此 問 題 .

Thanks for the long write. But these are perhaps for new and different bios. I wish I could capture the setup and save in a floppy. Is there a freeware to capture the bootscreen and save in a floppy? That way someone out there maybe able to translate it.

Is there a Language selection in the BIOS? If so, how does the japanese character look like?

The system is a PC 350 6587-JBV. Doing a search on LVKT22AJP brought me up to >THIS (http://www.novell.co.jp/j-labs/test/bmemo/js1645.htm)< page, which gave me the model number. The page I listed first is from IBM, and lists the various downloads for this system. One is a BIOS update.

Using the bios update, you can change the language for the bios. Read the Read Me file for more information.

I think you've got to the right website, thanks omega31. I will try to figure this out though I am working on another PC now cause I'm stocked there with the bios. ;)

Woooww!!! I'm done. Greeaaat thanks Omega31. The BIOS update made it english like a charm. And... 'tis was my first bios update. Is it that simple also with the others? Anyway, thanks also to those who stayed with me.:t :t
