I'M PUTTING A PC TOGETHER.THE BOARD IS AN ASUS A7V8X-333.
THE BOARD DOES THE INITIAL BOOTUP.
THEN I LOAD THE XP PROFESSIONAL BOOT UP DISK(S) IN THE DRIVE.AT THAT TIME I GOT THE FOLLOWING READING:BOOT:I/0 ERROR READING DISK-PLEASE INSERT ANOTHER DISK,WICH I DID -SAME PROBLEM.
I CLEARED THE CMOS,CHANGED THE BOOT SEQUENCE.NOTHING HELP.
ALL THE CABLES AND CONNECTIONS ARE OK.
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT MY PROBLEM IS?
THANKS

Lay off the CAPS please. It seems like you're yelling and is considered rude.

Try booting from the CDROM directly. Check in BIOS setup to see your boot sequence. Move the CDROM drive ahead of the hard drive.

Read you motherboard manual too. If you're using a RAID controller port for the HDD, you must load the drivers from a floppy during setup by pressing F6 when setup starts.

Thanks BipolarBill for your lesson on good manner.
Anyway, i tried to boot up from cdrom. It didn't do the trick.Regarding the manual ,the board is a barebone item.So i will have to go to the ASUS webside to download the manual.
