For the members here who reside in the Peoples Republic of Californistan who feel the same as I do sign up for a petition to get rid of this incompetent "pay for play" liberal jerk.

No, I just have a sick sense of humor. Gray Davis is doing a terrible job in California in my opinion and his support is in a large part do to the liberal politics in that part of the state. I believe in to each his own, but the ultra liberal folks in that part of California have upset the balance and pushed the state into near economic collapse when it should be the most economically sound state in the union. This is a result of over taxation to support many liberal policies that, in my opinion, should not be a function of government in the first place.

I'm tried of people trying to thwart the ELECTION process. A big part of democracy is that you live with the decision of the electorate. Cry babies are always calling recall when they don't get their way!

If Gov. Davis is recalled who becomes governor? It will be DEMOCRAT Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante! By the time this thing gets over, it's time for a new election.

Work on getting a decent candidate elected the next time! Remember, both of the major party candidates were losers! Personally, I voted for Riodan in the primary. If you voted for Simon in the primary, you got sucked in by Davis!

A big part of the problem is the brilliant idiots who voted for term limits. Those who do not trust the democratic voting process never saw standing for re-election as a term limit. If the constituency doesn't like their elected representative, they don't re-elect.

Now, we have a legislature that is inexperienced. It doesn't undersand give and take. Now, they are accountable to nobody. After a couple of terms, they're out!

But wait, they are accountable to the kingfishes. Why? Because now, after their term limits are up, they are still in the capital....in state commissions appointed by their cronies. Now, we have cronyism at its worst.

Everyone, Republicans and Democrats, participated in the money grab when they thought money was free. None participated in saving for a rainy day. Everyone thought the money would never dry up. Our dot com economy was the wave of the future!

If you lost a ton of money in the stockmarket, you believed the pipe dream, too!

The last time I checked, a BIG part of democracy also included the right to say "Hey, you know what? We made a huge mistake. We don't like you anymore. Get lost!"

So now that we're "surprised" at Gov. Gray Davis, we spend all our efforts to recall him so that Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante becomes governor? Where's the change? What's the difference?

Spend the time to field a real candidate in the next election! I don't vote for carpet baggers, either!

I've never seen anything but politics or money determine candidates anyways - for me it's almost always a matter of electing the person you dislike least.

Gray was actually pretty decent as a (I think) the former Controller, as governor he's a disaster, but Wilson (a Republican) didn't do much better......

Either way, I guess I'd rather see someone do something to express their displeasure with elected officials, as opposed to simply saying "we'll have to wait 'til next time."

I'm with Bill - recalls are rarely successful or productive but at least they send a message.

great attacks on liberals everyone! you guys really know how to stick it to them!

i dont think we can place the entire blame of the economy on one person. davis sure isnt a great candidate but he was the lesser of two evils in the election. simon is just way too conservative for the majority of california. i know many of you would rather have a bunch of evil conservatives in power than evil liberals.

why dont conservatives do something worthwile and advocate the split of california into two states? then you can live in the south and have your conservative politics. and other people can live in the north and have their liberal politics.
