I just installed XP, and my 256mb stick is showing up as 128mb. It worked just fine on winME. My agp aperature is set at 64mb, but that shouldn't matter.

I tried playing around with bios settings and moving the stick around on the motherboard, but nothing happened.

I'm condifuzzled.

Pc2100 CL2. Not that it really matters. :confused:

I know the memory is fine. I've used it with that computer for almost two years now. I just am not exactly sure when it changed into "128mb." :eek:

What kind of board is it? Maybe it needs newer chipset drivers or a BIOS update.

I messed around with it some more today. I think the stick is messed up, because a friend's stick worked just fine. Maybe its it's age (2 1/2 years), or the fact that it has been overclocked constantly. :r
