What do you mean by "...both the core settings..."? You mean you raised the core only? That's not gonna work out right. Most importantly is to raise the mem. What are the stock speeds? 250 core and 500 mem? What are your other system specs (CPU, RAM, OS...)?

I wouldnt worry, 3dmark scores aitn everything, as long as games and whatnot dont get slower just keep it as is

True, true. In fact, those benchies can really lead some of us (not me, not you either) into obsessive oblivion... ;)

I mean everytime I do the overclocking* the scores go down (According to 3DMark).

*setting both the core clock and memory up

I have

Windows 2000
1 Ghz AMD Athelon
128 SDRAM
60GB

And thank you all for your help

Did you accidentally turn AA on or something? I can see why the score would stay the same (I ghz cpu and 128mb SDRAM), but a decrease is odd if all other settings stayed the same.

I didn't change any other settings then that. I figured that overclocking shouldn't produce a lower score (if it did i might as well not overclock).
This problem is just driving me insane.
Do you guys think I just shouldn't overclock?

Which thread does this post belong in?

I think you posted this as new thread instead of a reply, but be patient, you are learning when you overclock and everybody makes mistakes when they first try, just keep plenty of notes on what your doing so you can backtrack. A pain in the bum, but I would also recommend only one change at at ime, that way you can see the difference a changed setting wil make. Keep Going and don't give up.:)
