I have a chance to pick up an internal IDE Zip drive at a great savings from retail. My system is running W98 FE on a CUSL2. It currently uses a LS-120 drive as Drive A. If I install the Zip drive, can it peacefully co-exist with the LS-120? Will there be issues concerning Booting or Drive letters? I have a Promise ATA 100 IDE board in my system. Should I connect the Zip to it or the mainboards IDE connector? Thanks for your kind attention.

There will be no problems with boot option or drive map since they will both be on a different IDE channel... As for the option to boot, there is an option in the BIOS to boot from ZIP or LS-120 on todays mainboard BIOS....

In my BIOS I believe that option for booting lists the two together such as ZIP/LS-120, & not as seperate options. I suppose this would make them equally available as boot options? Perhaps depending one which one had a bootable disk.

That is correct, Colonel...
