Depending on the application and the situation of which programs are running and what your using that program/s to do, some of the RAM utilities do a decent job. Which when reading that back to myself doesn't make to much sense, what I am trying to say is certain software that is ram intensive(graphics programs) will benefit after you run the RAM cleaner. When the RAM fills up you go into Virtual RAM which resides on your HDD and is slower than actual RAM so your program is then getting some of its data from Virtual RAM(which is slower) After you run the RAM utility it basically clears the RAM which lets you use that instead of the Virtual RAM...is that any help?:)
