Lately, i seem to be cleaning more and more spyware off my computer daily. I delete a good 25 a day vs. the 25 a week i use to do.

Anyone else notice this? or is it just me?

P.S. i use the latest updates of both ad-aware and spybot

Use Mozilla or Opera, you won't get much that way:D Also, you can block popups with them:r

What spyware? I get hardly any.As stated already use opera or mozilla etc and dump IE :r

And as iceblue has said might be time to take a look at your surfing habits if it bothers you.

Even IE isn't too bad if you stay away from the bad side of the net... didn't yer mom warn you about those places??;)

Yea most of the crude out there is built for IE. Since IE was and is still kinda the default it is better to write your spyware for whatever gets to the most people.

I use IE at work and home. At home in three years I have removed 6 spyware programs. I have a dial-up connection and I am very picky about what happens to my home PC. I use e-mail and a little surfing. I get most of my adware from game emulation sites. At work in the last 7 months or so, I have removed 194 programs - both spyware and adware. I am usually cautious at work with what I use for IE as well, but I do a lot more stuff at work than home. Everything is involved here: streaming, downloads, surfing, mail - 4 accounts, security info and hack info (I am a systems support person and keep up on the new tricks to protect myself).

Hate that stuff but it is preventable based on what you do. ;)

My surfing habit consist of computer tech websites mostly, so i dont see how that can attract as much **** as im getting. And i dont go to the "bad" side of the net, its either player yahoo chess, continuum, SC (not for a while though), or reading tech sites.

And i use AOL(yea yea yea, i know), i cant remember what they use, it might be Opera or somthing...

Does Mozilla and all the other ones you mentioned have built in software that blocks that **** from getting on my comp?

NO. The only thing that gets on my pc is the odd cookie that I remove.
