Friend wants to sell me a used AMD 1.3 Athlon. He doesn't know what FSB it is. Says model # is A1300AMS3B. Is this a 200 or a 266.
Thanks in advance

yea 266 looks right to me also..... u should be able to tell though from one of the letters on the chip..... there is a section bout that on overclockers.com.... or even easier if the chip was installed

Thanks for the posts. I needed a 200FSB.
I need to replace board and cpu, but if I got a 1.3 or 1.4 200fsb cheap enough it would get me by.
Currently running Giga-Byte GA-7IXE4 w/ Athlon 900.
Thanks Again

200MHz.

On the T-Bird core the last letter tells you the FSB. B = 200MHz FSB, C = 266MHz FSB.

Id it was cheap enough, and was 266, I would buy it and run at 200, boy would it overclock!.(or is that underclock?)

Only bad thing is that the 1.3 really doesn't clock.

Yeah i found 100FSB much more favourable with the tbirds. I had a 1ghz 100FSB chip up to 1550 @ 10x155FSB wheras the 133FSB 1.3*ghz i had would **** out beyond 1.47 :(
