is there any software that mesures the diode on the XP chip, I believe MBM 5 only users the motherboards diode.
The reason I ask is Fuzzylogic (the MSI software that came with my motherboard) reports temperatures that are almost 5-10 degrees C more than MBM, with everything correctly set up.
I also know that my motherboard can monitor the XP temperature.

that's Normal
you will always see 2 temps
the CPU Temp
and the Mobo Temp, (usually called System Temp)

use pcalert4 its the best am i believe most accurate or get a thermal sensor and put in on the back of your processor :t

I've also got this thing called coolerxp, I think it's like the old Rain software. It can drop my XP temps down to 37 degrees but these things are usually a bit of a gimmick or are they?

yea thats in pcalert i dont use it cause my temps are chilly enough 30c and 23for case goes lower but right now i have my case open cause i've been trying this modding thing to my cpu but besides that yea if i didnt have it oc its be really nice temos like i could prolly get them to the teensC so if you want to use system recources to "cool" your processor then go ahead but i dont reccomend it sometimes it can make it hotter poor pally  but hey good luck :t

I know I have bragged about it but I have reapplied the Silver paste and the temps are down to 38 degrees C without the cooler program, I think I didn't put enough of the silver paste on, it helps if you follow the instructions and apply some to the heatsink as well as to the processor.
With the XP cooler my temps for the Athlon XP 2000+ have fallen to 27 degrees, thats close to a pentium 3!
The picture I included with this shows MBM temp one is the case and temp 2 is the processor, all air cooled with a zalman at a room temp of 20 to 24 degrees, however this is sensing the motherboard diode, my processor is not overclocked in this test but I will endevour to rectify this:t
Also I just realised my fan is running on quiet mode oh my...
