Hi, I was just wondering if I can upgrade my laptop vid card to like maybe one of those geforce go's or radeon mobility cards. I have a Sager 6120 laptop.

YouŽll have to contact Sager but I doubt it. I have a Sager and it isnŽt upgradable.

Generally, vid cards are built into the Mobo in laptops to save space and resourses. I really doubt that it's possible to upgrade:eek:

I know at least these three parts can not be upgrade in a laptop:
Sound, Video, and CPU. I have been searching for information of how to upgrade my 3 laptops and I found none. I can take out the CPU of one laptop (I have not tought the other two yet) but no one can tell me what is the max speed of CPU I can put it in there.

Here are my laptops:

NEC Ready 220T
Toshiba 3110CT
HP Omnibook 4150

a older compaqs had upgradable processor but it's not common these days except the toshibas and HPs I think

as for the vid card thing, a friend tried to upgrade another firend Dell and the machine was never the same, not to mention it shuts off frequently due to motherboard shroting and such....:(

The lesson for all of us: never let friends near our hardware ;)...
Or how about this one: Friends don't let friends "upgrade" friends laptops :p
