Hey guys, i'm back!! I need to buy a new hsf for one of my machines.. i'm using a thermaltake silver orb on my athlon 1ghz and temps get to about 67 c after about 5 minutes of the system being on.. Basically, i thought i'd get a new hsf for my "beast" of a machine (personal machine) and put the old one in the 1ghz family pc. What would you say is the best hsf for an amd xp 2200+ ?? I need a quick response as i'm gonna purchase this soon, any help appreciated...

Thanks..

In the UK theres only really one place you can look and thats www.overclockers.co.uk

From there either the Thermalright SLK-800, or if your not loaded the Globalwin CAK4-88T

(i got the latter and its great)

Thanks for the help.. I think i'm going to get the globalwin heatsink. I had a look at it and it comes with a fan which is a bonus unlike the thermalright slk800. Good enough for what i'll be using it for anyway.

Welcome, the choice of HSF in the UK is pretty pants it has to eb said. OCuk is generally the best supplier but still leaves a lot to be desired. If you look at some of their more expensive stuff though you should be okay
