Have a deal to build a dozen athlon based comps for a private school. What is the best adequate agp card for a no-gaming (well maybe minesweeper) machine?

thanks

Spend $45 or so on Gf4MX 420's. They're cheap and new enough for good driver support.

[Slaps my head for recommending a Gf4MX 420 for anything, but these are non-gaming systems.]

But a better idea would be spend $70 or so per system on Asus A7N266-VM AA motherboards. Use one stick of DDR and the onboard everything.

Makes for a nice cheap, and reliable Athlon system.

I dig it. I have to talk the guy out of his demand for 5 pci slots (which he will never use anyway)

Yep this already has sound and nic onboard so you have two freed up already.

That's effectively the same as 5 PCI slots.
