I've got a 900mhz Athlon that runs at a temp of 54C, is that too hot? My computer hasn't locked up or anything but i'm kinda worried that i'm doing some damage to the thing. Can anyone recommend at really decent CPU fan that isn't too expensive (around £15-£20) and a site that it can be ordered from.
Cheers.

54C is about 129F? May be a tad hot. Do you have good case cooling? Graphics card cooling? Exhausting hot air out of case? What's between your CPU and your heatsink: Artic Silver II? Thermal pad? Good Power Supply fan?

Check these sites to get started:

Good luck!

54C is a bit hot, but probably not dangerous. You probably want to try to keep it under 50C. What kind of HSF are you using now??
