My problem:
1) Don't have a boot disk.
2) Don't have drivers for DVD drive (DVD manual says drivers are included with OS or OS boot disk).
3) Don't have a disk to format or partition my Hard drive(used Hard Drive).
4) Unable to download anything of the internet, because I'm using Webtv and this is the first PC i've built.
5) I have a Windows ME CD.
What is the cheapest way to get out of this mess? Help is greatly appreciated.

you dont have ONE friend that has a computer?
have you tried going into your bios at bootup(delete key) and changing the boot sequence to cd first?? if your ME cd is bootable you can boot with that. but you still need to get a boot disk to format and partition your hard drive. ask a friend to d/l a boot disk from www.bootdisk.com (http://www.bootdisk.com)
yes, you wont need drivers for your cdroms/dvdroms with windows.
i think theres a way to make your hard drive bootable off of the cd but i think you still need to have dos installed at least. im sure someone will help you out more on this one...

...If you have the full install version you should have everything you need, It should have came with a boot disk...if it's an upgrade you'll need a windows 98 disk...when it asks for proof you have a copy put the CD in the CDROM (98 or whatever) & point it there to check...then it'll say to put the ME CD back in & you're home free

...ME dosen't use DOS as far as I know...just looks for a version of windows...you can even install the upgrade on a virgin drive as long as you have a 98 disk for it to look at & approve...lol
What DO you have ... besides the ME CD?
Email me, I'll send you something that might help.

The Windows ME that I have is the $86 oem version, I bought it from directdeals.com. It comes with everything listed on their site, but it didn't come with a boot disk. So you're saying is all I have to do is make the DVD bootable? I don't have previous Windows software.
If that works all I need is a boot disk to format and partition my hard drive.

If its a full version and not an upgrade then it should work. Just have the cd-rom (in your bios) as your first boot device.
