Why BIOS download extract unreadable?

I just downloaded bh6lh to update my BIOS. I extract(in Wordpad)and text is not deciphered. Awdflash is fine. Any suggestions for a "True blue Nuebie."

The uncommpressed .bin file isn't meant to be opened. It is the updated Bios image file that will be used by AWDFlash to perform the upgrade.
