Hi to all,

I'm troubleshooting a system for a friend, the problem is it will only boot if the power switch is pressed twice in quick succession.
It is the same with shutdown. If I short the power switch pins on the MB it boots fine. Any suggestions?

Biostar M6TBA MB
PII 450 MHz CPU

Thanks in advance

P.S I replaced the power on cable and still no luck...

Sounds to me like the metal in the pwron cable header might be a bit knackered or out of place

Either the switch or the powersupply is having an issue...

Was the old switch an AT switch? I've run into AT switches on ATX boards before. First time to figure that one out took me abit...

My friend omitted the fact that he replaced the switch. It is an ATX system...you're right he used an AT switch. You can bet I'll know better the next time.:t
