am gettin notice. "windows encountered an error accesing sys reg. will restart and repair", three times, and still not repaired, ran Reg Clean, found nothing, moved the notice out of the way, and am now on line. OE gives me "prog preformed illegal op", any ideas,? OE messed up?, something in start list?

Anything you just installed? It's possible your registry got bollixed. If W98/ME, you might go back to the day before the problem started using Reg restore, or whatever that's called.

Also, might try stopping all your startup progs w/Msconfig to try to isolate the culprit. OE got a startup prog running?

am running Win 98, suspect that OE is the gremlin, will try stoping start progys tho, may have to reinstall OE.???

Are your running your cpu overclocked? I had the same problem 2 hours ago. I was running at 1 gig and bumped back to 950. Everything is running fine now. Been running at 1gig for a few months now. Guess it was starting to become unstable.

nope, not into games. so run AMD 450 mhz normal.

think got it fixed, msconfig,start, deleted task mon. and bookmard central. well see. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
