Well, almost there. Just waiting on the money for the CPU so I can build! I've been reading the manuals and I have a few questions.
1. If i'm installing a sound card do I have to install the sound bracket for the onboard sound? I'm going to disable it because of the card anyway.
2. My sound card comes with a Joystick/MIDI bracket (Soundblaster Audigy Gamer). Do I have to install that also. I don't currently have a joystick and if I get one it will be USB anyway. I'd just as well save the space in the case.
3. The instructions for the speakers I purchased (Logitech Z-640 5.1 sound) say to connect the color-coded plugs from the center channel (green, black, and orange) to the color-coded inputs on the sound card. The only problem is that the sound card inputs aren't color-coded! The inputs are "Analog/Digital Out", "Line Out", and "Rear Out". The others are "Line In" for recording and stuff I think, and "Mic In".
That's it for now. (if that's not too much already :) )
Thanks in advance,
bpaz
