Anybody have a cable modem uncapper for @Home service that works?

So you all have seen those cable modem uncappers like F*CKUPC and such. But has anyone been able to make them work. My cable service is provided by @Home, and while I am very pleased with their high speed service...it pisses me off that they cap the upload to 128kbps or 15Kbps. So I guess my question is...have any of you people been able to get a cable uncapper to work? If so which one, and how?

I thought that maybe it didn't work on my computer because I have my cable modem plugged into a hub rather then interfaced with my USB. But that doesn't seem right. Help!

nope...none of them work, period.

that one you mentioned used to work in the pioneering days of cable. it modified the ARP table to bypass the cap, however @home has long since taken care of that loop-hole(and the guy who wrote it was taken to court). nowadays they cap you by setting it directly in the modem, cap setting are refreshed about every 5 minutes. so that means that even if someone were to find some way of uncapping today's modems, it wouldnt much matter because every 5 minutes the connection would be lost and the caps would be refreshed.

sorry dude....uncapping is at this point of the game impossible.

the hub could casue some slow down and why the heck would you want to connect it thru USB? thats gonna slow you down even more!

and just like -biztyke- sayz no uncapper works. its all done at the company that provides it for you. last itme i heard some guy trying to use a uncapper he was facing charges and was going to court

I used an uncapper on a LanCity modem once...it worked for one day...then they changed my IP, since I had to set static settings to use the uncapper... I got IP conflicts, so I renewd a new IP, reloaded the settings, it never worked again.

Now I have a DOCSIS modem, so it's a moot point.
