When I acess the internet directly (cable modem to computer) I don't have a firewall blocking my p2p softwares but when I share with my other computers (through a hub) I have to switch to passive mode which is labeled as firewall protected. Is there anyway I can remove the firewall on my computer? using win xp.

The only firewall in XP can be turned on and off in Control Panel > Network Connections > connection Properties > TCP/IP Properties > Advanced.
