I've got a EtherFast® Cable/DSL Router with 4-Port Switch in my small XP home network. The problem I'm getting is once in a while the router goes nuts and the leds on it start blinking and I lose any connection to the other computers on my network... What could be causing this? The way I correct it is to unplug the router, wait about 10 seconds then replug it and it works... But it bugs the hell out of me to do that...

please help

if all the LIghts start going crazy

it could mean 3 most likely reasons:

1-someone hacked into it, and screwed your settings

2-your DSL connectiong dropped, and is reconnecting

3-the Router might really need RMA

They don't go crazy, they just start blinking at a permanent speed... over and over and over and over and over....

that's going crazy for me

they do that when there's an error in the router, and you need to Turn Off, Turn back on after a min or two
