good day ppl

help me out here. Every time I switch my Pc on i get this msg after windows has loaded "
"Cannot find a device file that may be needed to run windows or windows application.
The windows registry or system.ini file refers to this device file , but then devive file no longer exists.
If you deleted this file on purpose , try unistalling the associated application using its unistall or setup program.
if you still want to use the application associated with this device file , try reinsatlling thhat application to replace the missing file.

yeah i saw one brother printer lying around in the office.she is now using an hp 1200 .now where to from here :( :( :(

the thing is that there are three users connecting to that printer(hp).they use one logistics program,LOGIS.(go to this site : http://www.logis.pwv.gov.za )its a mainframe based application.the application also uses a certain program called MIRACLE.it is used to manage the print joibs by the user connecting to that printer.

back to my question, how do i fix this, i know it might not be anything drastic.

sounds like they removed the old printer Forced fully

like by simply deleting the stuff off or something

just re/install to then Un-install it properly from ADD/Remove program

or if you are lazy, just remove the error message by nuking whatever is calling for the file

usually system.ini or registry hidden somewhere
